The auditorium was formerly a cafeteria when this building was an elementary school prior to becoming GOC, so have historically been acoustic and spacing challenges. I worked with Nisewonger A/V to redesign the auditorium in the Fall of 2023 to upgrade nearly all aspects of the auditorium, including two new laser projectors (total of 4), VIA Go wireless casting system, 4 room-facing speakers, 2 stage monitors, new ceiling speakers, a subwoofer ceiling panel, 4 PTZ cameras, Midas soundboard, Vaddio A/V matrix, Audix lapel and handheld microphones, amplifiers, and two iMac computers.
The room is most frequently used for staff meetings, "GOC Friday" events, hosting outside groups, and student performances.

I was given the task of creating motivational videos to increase online student engagement. Coinciding with the start of college football season, I chose to use the concept of "hype videos" similar to those created by college football programs to get fans excited. I selected inspiring music, motivational quotes, and footage of Gwinnett Online Campus teachers during their live online sessions to create compelling and engaging videos. I used Camtasia for screen capture and editing on this project. Each of the videos has received hundreds of unique views and positive reviews from students, parents, and staff.

These are two examples of the weekly news segments that I co-write, direct, and edit. There are three different age groups: 3rd-5th, 6th-8th, and 9th-12th grades. Footage was captured using a mounted PTZ camera and audio with Audix wireless microphones, passing through a Roland mixer. I used Final Cut Pro X to edit on this project. Weekly news episodes average over 100 unique views.
